First encounter with princi...

As u all hav heard...i went to Our Princi to request permission to conduct our "dream fest"...
i thot it wuld b easy facin him rather than Binulal....bt apparently i was wrong.....
our princi who i often found to step away from his laptop jumped @ us askin a bunch f qns .....
i was dumstruk.....as if it was some kindaa quiz competition....
he asked"whatz CRDi...i kinda stupified...cause i was totally out of fuel..!!!
I realized that we must have a minimum knowledge about CRDi to conduct a tech fest
so like all people...i googled it...
thiz is what i learned....

CRDI (common rail direct injection)
CRDI has provided a tremendous boost in diesel-engine performance. The improvement is mainly due to the common-rail design, which has tubes that connect all the injectors. These injectors are based on the direct-injection concept, as was the case in the past. But the common-rail design was quite a step forward.CRDI engine fitted cars offer 25% more power than the normal direct injection engine with a superior pickup and torque offering sometimes up to 70% more power than the conventional diesel engines.

Fuel in the common tube or “rail” is under a set amount of pressure which causes the fuel to be “atomized” or broken down to its smallest particles. This allows the fuel to combine with the air much more efficiently. With proper direct injection, fuel use is highly efficient, with much less waste fuel escaping the system unused.

The newest electronic technology has also allowed CRDI engines to better control the amount of fuel used, the pressure within the system and the timing of both the injection of fuel and the electronic charge applied to make the fuel burn. Injectors in the common rail direct injection engine have controls on the injector heads that allow slight variances in the amount of fuel put into the cylinders.

MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection)

system injects fuel into individual cylinders after receiving command from the on board engine management system computer or Engine Control Unit (ECU).

This technology results in superior fuel combustion, better fuel management, engine performance and reduced pollution. To get the maximum out from these types of engine one should use Premium petrol like Speed etc.
